The 2025 Plank Challenge: Building Strength One Breath at a Time

ree

Every year, we run a little experiment together: we see what happens when you dedicate a few minutes each day to one of the simplest yet most powerful exercises out there—the plank. And every year, the results speak for themselves.

This year, we’re bringing back the Plank Challenge—but with a new perspective. Instead of just counting seconds, I want you to think about planking as a daily conversation between your body and your brain.

Why Planks Still Matter (and Always Will)

The plank is more than a “core exercise.” It’s like a full-body wake-up call. When you hold a plank, your brain has to coordinate dozens of muscles at once—your spine, your nervous system, your core, your glutes, even your posture muscles all come online and work together.

Think of it as hitting “refresh” for your body every day.

  • For your spine: Planks strengthen the support system around it, making good posture easier and back pain less likely.

  • For your nervous system: They demand focus and control, which trains your brain to fire those muscle signals more efficiently.

  • For your health overall: Planks are short, powerful, and can be done anywhere—perfect for building consistency.

This Year’s Challenge: From Seconds to Strength

Last year, many of you amazed yourselves by holding planks longer than you thought possible. But this year, I want to shift the focus slightly:💡 Instead of asking “how long can I hold it?” let’s ask “how strong and steady can I feel while I hold it?”

Even 20–30 seconds of a rock-solid plank done with perfect form can do more for your body than a shaky two-minute hold. Quality over quantity.

How to Join the Challenge

  1. Pick Your Starting Point: If you’re new, begin with a knee plank or shorter holds. If you’re experienced, try variations like side planks, reverse planks, or planks with gentle leg lifts.

  2. Commit Daily: Just one plank a day. That’s it. Build the habit and let it grow naturally.

  3. Notice the Shift: Pay attention not just to your abs, but also your posture, your energy, and how your body feels throughout the day.

Why We Do This Together

The Plank Challenge isn’t about perfection—it’s about community, consistency, and choosing strength every day. When you share your progress, struggles, or little victories, you inspire someone else to keep going.

So, here’s your invitation:👉 Join me for the Plank Challenge 2025. Let’s take a few minutes each day to strengthen our bodies, reset our spines, and sharpen our minds.

Small, consistent habits build strong, resilient people—and I can’t wait to see what we build together this September.
